Our successful One Ocean Expedition circumnavigation (2021-2023) ignited massive action for ocean sustainability. Now, we embark on a new 12-month expedition in April 2025, charting a course for even greater impact.
Statsraad Lehmkuhl’s very first circumnavigation, the 20-month The One Ocean Expedition, created bigger waves than we could have ever imagined. During 20 months, from August 2021 to April 2023, the ship sailed 60,000 nautical miles and visited 37 different ports around the globe as a recognized part of the UN Decade for Ocean Research.
The One Ocean Expedition has set a new course for Statsraad Lehmkuhl. We are already well underway with planning a new 12-month expedition in 2025 – 2026, and even more expeditions up to 2030.
UN Decade OF OCEAN SCIENCE (2021-2030)
Statsraad Lehmkuhl will become an even stronger ambassador for the UN’s Decade of Ocean Science, and thus inspire people all over the world to commit to a cleaner ocean.
The One Ocean Expedition 2025 -2026 will have the same objective as the first: To create awareness and share knowledge about the ocean´s crucial role for sustainable development in a global perspective.
The first expedition in 2021-2023 would not have been possible without a fantastic team of dedicated partners and a unique collaboration between the public sector, academia, education, research and business.

TICKET SALE SPRING 2024
On the next expedition in 2025-2026, many the legs will be chartered by our partners, but there will also be open legs with ordinary ticket sales for the public. We aim to put the tickets out for sale here on our website during the summer of 2024.
We want to get even more global partners on board for the next One Ocean Expedition I 2025, so that Statsraad Lehmkuhl can further contribute to strengthening international cooperation for a cleaner ocean!
